Episode 184 – Orc, Orc and Orc

About Tim Lanning

Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.

While your brave adventurers are a little on edge, you must admit that the death of a small boy is cause for alarm! Sure, it is possible that we are overreacting. And, well, maybe it is more than a little self-centered to think that every death that happens when we are around is due to us. But, in our defense, bad things just seem to happen all around us and it is our mandate to fix them! We are pretty good at fixing all the problems that follow us, so no worries.

The adventure continues with Titus Harper (Tim Lanning), Jett Razor (Mike Bachmann), Aludra (Jennifer Cheek), Jaela (Nika Howard) and your Dungeon Master (Michael DiMauro). Don’t forget to follow our editor Steph Kingston (@stephokingston)!

  1. Sooooo, you are directly competing on Twitch with another little DnD show on Thursday called Critical Role. I know I’d love to watch live on maybe like… another night. #JustSayin 🙂

    • We’ve been doing Thursday since before Critical Role existed. There is too much good stuff out there to be constantly switching days based on other shows. It just doesn’t make any sense.

  2. I love you, Tim. I really do. But goddammit, listening to you read reviews makes me want to rip my ears off the side of my head, shove them through a plate glass window, then pour salted rubbing alcohol into the bloody ear holes.

    • I legit got into a pretty heated debate with a friend about podcasts that do things such as read 5-star reviews. He was extremely against it feeling it was cheating the review system. I defended it since without them reading reviews, there would probably be a ton of people who would never have listened to this podcast.

    • I’m sure we would rather you didn’t listen if it’s a choice between that and an amped-up Reservoir Dogs-style suicide. But, he was doing a comedic bit when he read them fast. He almost never does that. He and the other hosts read the reviews in a wide array of styles. If you can’t appreciate that this is going on, I’m not sure what to tell you.

  3. I feel like there has been a lot of salty comments lately, so I wanted to remind you guys that I think you do a wonderful job, your stories are excititing, your roleplaying is excellent and you are overall funny guys.

I think you have the right to do everything you can to support yourself, reading reviews, getting sponsorships and doing patreon and kickstarter and the like. You should be able to make a living from this.

This is a free podcast, I feel people are complaining to much.

  4. …Well my review was read in this past episode and it made me so happy! I love hearing the reviews from fellow fans of the podcast ♡! Never stop polishing this brand. Also, I literally cry happiness when you folks use my art.

  5. Reviews are at the end of the podcast…why not just skip the reviews if you don’t like listening to them? Tim you are awesome, haters are gonna hate.

  6. So there was Harper, King of Pelor’s Hope, about to execute a murderer (and an orc to boot) and two of his men just up and leave over it. And Harper lets them go. Weak. Pelor’s Hope needs a strong king again, not one who leaves for months at a time and lets his fucking elf-wife rule the most powerful human kingdom in the world. Old Man Weck for King. Or Ros. Or anyone but Harper, really. Maybe even one of Harper’s half-breed children. Make Pelor’s Hope great again.
