Episode 205 – Locked Up

By Tim Lanning on

About Tim Lanning

Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.

I guess it sorta makes sense the Queen Ashayara Dayne would be mad at us, what with the death of her beloved husband. Sure, it wasn’t our fault but I guess she doesn’t know that. And honestly, this couldn’t have come at a worse time since we came to Pelor’s Hope first on our worldwide tour of warning people. Hopefully we can use some of our natural charm to avoid execution. That would be real bad, being executed.

The adventure continues with Steve Melloncamp (Mike Bachmann), Aludra Wyrmsbane (Jennifer Cheek), Jaela (Nika Howard), Toby Treacletart (Tim Lanning) and your Dungeon Master (Michael DiMauro).  Don’t forget to follow our editors Steph Kingston (@stephokingston) and David Stewart (@spudcam)!

  1. Yay, I got the cover!

I know you guys want to keep the episodes tight, but I really liked the longer episodes when you rolled for more stuff so that dumb crap could happen on the bad rolls, so please don’t completely abandon that “RP as Skill Challenge” facet, OK? Or do, I’m not your dang boss, but yeah!

Thank you for this good good episode! Sorry I missed the taping at twitch.tv/geeklyinc last Thursday at 8:30 pm EST; I just plumb forgot!

    Keep it Prime Material!

  2. Bachmann’s ability to create new rp personas is absolutely fantastic. It’s so wonderful to see how he’s grown given that Thom waaaaay back at the beginning of the podcast was entirely one-dimensional. I think the first good development of Thom as a character (and Bachmann as a roleplayer was ‘I hate gnolls’), and ‘Nimbus’ is just absolutely hilarious.

Lastly, this Limitless Adventures thing seems really neat… I hate developing cities ahead of time but am not super quick to improv up a barkeep that doesn’t sound like a boring stereotype. Seems like a good tool to have around
