Geekly Recipe Share

Hey, all. After discussions in the chat, I'm starting a Geekly Recipe Share post. I think it's a good idea. I'll start with my favorite whole wheat pizza crust. Whole Wheat Pizza Crust aka "Crust of Thrones" Required: 3 cups whole wheat flour Access to a little extra wheat flour if you nee...

Re: Thank you Geekly.

I'm so glad that Mmmizzle started this thread. Getting to know the Geekly community is definitely something I'm most thankful for in my life. Each one of you is great to interact with, understanding when you need to be, and generally are just a great group of folks. I appreciate that you include me ...

Thanks for grabbing the numbers. After staring at it, I realized it was Octal notation (base 8). Re: A Very Geekly Christmas - Midwest

I unfortunately will not be able to attend on this date. But I want to send some goodies...perhaps Wisconsinite stuff. But not Lutefisk. Never that.

Re: Thrifty Apprecciation Thread

Thrifty and I have been twitter friends since the twitter days of yore. His aptitude for fun and jokes knows no bounds, and conversing with him over the years has always been super interesting. He's also a great guy to bounce an idea off of, and very helpful. If you tweet a joke that you think is to...

Re: A Very Geekly Christmas - Midwest

I'm interested, but honestly don't know which dates would be best. Where I work, end of year is super important…this year even more so with the projects I'm on. But I'll watch closely to see what others end up with and see if I can swing it! Chicago isn't that far!

You know I'm down! Scheduled and ready. Now to just download the game sometime soon and get a little practice in. Should be crazy fun!

Yes, the multiplayer for Return to Castle Wolfenstein is awesome. It's called Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and I think I linked it way up in this thread.

Bachmann and I Tweet-talked, and we're aiming for Friday, 8/22. So get your voting done! At some point we'll need to close this thing down and say "here's what we're playing" definitively.

Good thought.

Freespace 2 - Space Combat sim. Engine has been open sourced, so there is a modern port. You just need the original game assets.

Re: What should we play at the next Geekly Game Night?

Here are suggestions from various LAN parties I've thrown with my friends: * Unreal Tournament (Original) - Released in 1999, it surprisingly runs flawlessly on every system I've tried it on. Worst case, you can run software rendering and get a real blast from the past. Most machines should now be a...

Re: Community Nights?

If any of you are down for Unreal Tournament 2004 on PC, Mike Bachmann and I are planning a couple hours of multiplayer fun on Friday, July 11, 2014 at approximately 6:30 pm CST. Bachmann will be posting details as soon as he figures out his server situation, but it should be a hoot! Stay tuned! (Ye...
