Re: Revamped 5e character sheets

Hey, these are great!
Nice work-- anyone who plays knows that the default sheets aren't great at dealing with some of the things you've included here (magic items with ability score bonuses, etc.)

Re: Inspiration for MOTW-style sessions

Blade of the Immortal and Ninja Scroll are manga/anime with strongly themed villains. Maybe choose an unrelated theme for the villains and use that as inspiration-- zodiac animals, youkai, or the five elements? It might give you a starting point that you can build around. Natsume Yujin-cho, Gegege n...

Re: Player Damage and Defeat in 5e DnD

Thanks for the response! "Non-lethal" attacks at the last minute are a fine workaround for some situations-- but in practice it means that hostile enemies must essentially choose to spare your life. Do I have every single hostile creature pull their punches at the end? There are many scena...

Re: Need assistance with ideas!

The most obvious to me is at least one retractable weapon that you're considered proficient in, so that you can't be disarmed. The same deal with armor, probably. Some movement-based alterations might be useful: levitation or flight, integrated boots of striding and springing, or a panic mode telepo...

I'd love any feedback- how does look for CR? The gaze attacks are pretty tough in certain circumstances.

Re: Any suggestions on a mic?

Hey! I'm in a couple of online games right now, and I think it's a great way to play the game (there are tradeoffs, but what you get in return is pretty great.) I've used an inexpensive Logitech headset for years without much trouble. The important thing is probably getting headphones you can stand ...

The Watchdog and Watchman (5e Homebrew)

Hello! I thought I'd share a couple of recent homebrew creations for an upcoming campaign. As you can see, I'm intending to set up a recurring behind-the-scenes villain for the first arc of play, the Dark Watcher- Maal Ogg. Maal Ogg has many agents pulling strings and keeping an eye on things in our...

Re: Theme idea for a campaign.

Very cool, strong concept for a long-term game. It gives the players an end-game goal, as well as several personal goals that they determined themselves-- which is very cool. If I were running a game like this, I'd probably try to reduce the friction of the concept a bit by keeping it to a single ti...

Player Damage and Defeat in 5e DnD

Hello, all! I'm still pretty new to this forum, so please forgive any unintended transgressions. I am a very long-time player of dungeons and dragons, from the AD&D 2e days-- and I think that 5e is by far the best iteration yet. One issue I've been running into lately as both a player and DM has...

Re: 2017's Official Fan Art Thread

Thought I'd take a quick swing at this fan-art challenge... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/924/9OuE8o.jpg Toby deserves more fan-art as well, so I'll definitely try one of him next. It would be so awesome if there was a centralized place where fan-art type people could read character descript...

I love it! Is this Mike Bachmann's new character? I missed the twitch stream, so I don't think I heard the description.

Thanks for the kind words, dude. I'm digging on your style as well.
