For those unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo
is National Novel Writing Month. Participants attempt to write a 50k word novel over course of November. I've participated a few different times. Sometimes with excellent results. Sometimes I never quite got around to it.
It's a pretty huge commitment, but this year I am very determined to make a real go at it again. The Geekly community is full of amazing creative people, so I wanted to get the word out, get our own little support group going, and talk about novel prep, what books you've enjoyed on writing/craft/etc. and create some amazing stories. I'm bringing it up way in advance of the even because it's probably not the sort of commitment you want to just make a snap decision to do (although I have in the past, I'm not going to lie.)
If anyone is interested, you can add me as a writing buddy: http://nanowrimo.org/participants/thespambot/
