So other than Mr. Lanning and myself, who among those going to GeeklyCon are Magic players? Is there going to be a loud drunken game of Commander that ends in table-flipping? :D

There's quite a few. A lot of Magic games going on last year and Jon Serritos (@Renakku) arranged a draft tournament.

Awesome! Drafting sounds fun, and both halves of this block should be out by then.

I'd play in a draft or just bring an old deck or two if I can dig one up.

Well, if anyone is into Commander as a format, or wants to learn it, I do have seven Commander decks (possibly building an eighth soon). So, that's a thing.

But I'm definitely interested in drafts and casual, too. :)

Interest has been noted. There will almost certainly be a draft. :)

I'm bringing a friend who is super into magic. the selling point on him going was that he could play magic with people while drinking! (cant do that at the kid friendly card shops lol) so assuming that everything works out we will be attending, possibly with two friends that play Vampire: the masquerade. You guys did that last year didnt you?

Drunken magic? Oh boy... I occasionally miss triggers and such sober. Should be interesting to draft like that!

I'd be happy to front the money for a booster box if people want to buy into a little sealed deck limited action.

I'll get in on that, Corn. I'm slowly getting better at limited (0-4 first prerelease, 0-5 the second, 2-2 the most recent). More practice is always great!

I'd definitely be down to organize a draft If no one else does. I think the format last year worked pretty well, once it got up and running.

Cool! I'll remember to bring a box of uh, whatever's out next summer. :-)

I went 1-2 in our local for the BFZ pre-release. Not bad for last playing magic three years ago and before that, high school 20 years ago!

Why Geekly so farrrrrr.... :-(

Hm...

1) My brother went last year.
2) He wants me to go this year.
3) I have a commander deck.

Hm...

This sounds good! I have too many a few (11, at last count) Commander decks, too!

I actually only own 1 cube and 1 EDH deck.

I sold most of the cards that were worth anything on eBay a couple years ago (and I have been playing since Revised).

And... my EDH deck is probably worth more than my (Ravnica themed) cube.

(Lots of $$$, but no infinite combos.)

edit: I've been meaning to create an updated list of my EDH deck on mtgsalvation. I'll post a link here when I'm done.
