We spent a lot of time before we ever started this campaign discussing high school and what it was like for everyone. We really got to know each other. But making 3 people feel the way you feel about a scene or a character is easy, making an audience feel that way – not so much.

That’s where the music comes in. I spend almost as much time searching for the music as I do making my first edits to an episode. If there is a track out there that says exactly what I want the scene to feel like, I’ll find it. I’m able to do this through creative commons license. Maybe I’ll get into all that in another post – for now you just want to know where you can find the music from the show.

Episode 1:

My idea for the first episode was to have music that takes itself too seriously. Just like our lovely heroines. High school is so serious when you are that age. But as an adult, it doesn’t have much meaning. Or at least it doesn’t to me. Each character has a theme. I try to hold to that theme as much as possible throughout the episodes, but sometimes the power of the scene is more important.

Cora’s Theme - Dandelion by BoganVia
So this website is very weird and looks outdated. The only way I could share the song was to share the album page.
It’s fourth on the list.

Here’s a bunch of different versions of this song. I used the original.

The addition of music has really been great. The "feel" of the episodes has been spot-on and made the episodes hit me more. I know dealing with CC music can be nerve-wracking (particularly finding just the right piece) but you have handled it well!
