Bobby Boulder was a bodyguard Dao who worked in the Arena of Jörldin, in The Elemental Plane of Earth. He worked for Gerth Stoneslab, and was also very good friends with The Sorrowful Man. He was the one who told The Tower of Grey that the SM was planning on heading to the Night Zone, a bad place to be.
