Our heroes delve deeper into this seemingly endless dungeon. Will they make it out alive, or will the poison gas finally claim its first victim? Will Thom ever get his sword back? How does Harper get so much definition in his abs? Tune in to find out!
Cast and Player Characters
The level nine adventurers are in the thirteenth room out of a fifty-three room dungeon, and Michael realizes that he may have made a mistake in the size of this particular escapade.
With the siren dead, the once tropical setting with clear, beautiful water fades away to reveal they’re in the same stinky, gross fart water that they’ve been in for a while now. Harper laments Debra’s death since they no longer have anyone to push towards traps, but the party pushes on.
They walk into a corridor that has four animal head sculptures about six feet up on the wall:
- a grinning bear
- a bison
- a coyoté
- an eagle with something gleaming in its open beak
Upon closer inspection, they discover the eagle is holding a Circlet of Stone Titans in its beak which allows its wearer to petrify creatures that it touches. Aludra reaches up to grab it, but the dang thing clamps down on her arm, restraining her. Harper and Thom make an ass train to pull her free from the eagle’s beak.
Once she is free from the clutches of hostile home decor, the team discovers a hallway with very lifelike human statues standing along the wall. They decide they must be safe since they didn’t respond to Thom’s bellowing roar, but they were wrong. The “statues” were actually fifteen zombies. They attempt to kill them, but sometimes the zombies get back up or Jennifer rolls really poorly, and Aludra falls down in the middle of an attack. Fortunately, the adventurers have some dope ass moves that they employ, like Burning Spray and Burst of Earth’s Fury, which results in them winning the battle.
Thom opens a door, leading them up a long stairwell. As they ascend the stairs, a very large millstone comes hurtling down towards them. Harper attempts to transform into a spark and zip over it, but, before he can finish the spell, the millstone takes him out at the legs. Aludra also gets hit by the millstone when she tries to jump over it, and Thom, that beautiful beast, almost makes it but he gets taken out as well.
Once the adventurers pull themselves up off of the floor, they continue up to the landing at the top of the stairs where they smell fresh air for the first time in days. Harper is so excited, he kisses Aludra on the forehead and Thom on the cheek.
They set up camp on the landing in front of the giant, solid double doors and take a long rest.
