Old Mrs. Hamhands was the mother of Bercy Hamhands and general sweet old lady. She owed money to Niles Blackwater.
After running away during the assault on her home, she went unthought of for many years, until the introduction of Bercy Hamhands into the story. Then, The Tower of Grey traveled to the Pyre-controlled Mastwick, and learned that a mysterious Master of Coin, Xix von Stein was working against Pyre. The party, wanting to ally themselves with XvS, tracked him down, only to discover that he was secretly Old Mrs. Hamhands the whole time! Exactly how this all worked out is currently unknown.
