Cthulhu & Friends is an actual play of the Trail of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game but we still homebrewed some rules. Tell your friends!
Darius and Clara talk about her photography and her true passion, painting. They both love painting and agree they need it to keep them sane.
Todd is working hard on studying. He explains to Darius that he’s not just dedicated, it’s about his life’s work. He wants to find a cure for the disease that killed his brother. Darius mentions toxoplasmosis, somehow knowing what disease it was.
Darius thanks Edward for saving his life when he was drowning. He mentions he was out in the water because he’d just had the biggest breakup of his life. They both encourage each other that they’re both a catch. Edward appreciates that Darius and their other friends don’t just treat him like a Worthington. He mentions that his father gave him a house.
Bellamy visits Clara at work at the bar. She calls her Clara-bear-a, but Clara says nobody has called her that since her parents died. She’s not coping well. Bellamy encourages her to try journaling or art therapy. Clara mentions the bar owner, Ariel, is going to let her rent out the attic to save some money, but Bellamy is concerned it’s a death trap if there’s a fire.
Bellamy and Edward discuss cake versus pie. Edward orders crab cake which he argues is cake.
Clara gets off her shift at the bar and joins the group for an Ethics study session/drinking game. They move the study session upstairs to Clara’s room when the bartender cuts them off. The conversation shifts to people they’ve lost and if they’re watching over them. Darius says he’s only gotten close to a few people. He had a bad accident at about age 17 and doesn’t remember anything before that. Edward lost his mother because of her heart. Todd lost his brother. Clara lost both her parents a couple months prior to an accident where they both fell down the stairs, and she was evicted shortly after the funeral and left with basically nothing. But she attempts to deflect with humor. Edward brings up the house his dad gave him and offers to let the whole group in.
