Episode Synopsis

Todd introduces the group to D&D. He made character sheets for them. Bellamy is a barbarian, Edward is a paladin, Clara is a sorcerer, and Darius is a bard with a +1 piccolo. Edward’s character, Sir Sword-a-Lot, finds an ad for an adventuring party to protect ravenous goblins from dwarves. Justice Timberwaves, played by Darius, steps up to aid Sir Sword-a-Lot in his quest. Bellamy’s character, Kronch, wants to smash dwarves. Todd reveals that Kronch can’t read. Clara’s elf, Moonflower, says that she will teach her dear friend Kronch how to read.

Justice Timberwaves inspires the group with his piccolo. Sir Sword-a-Lot suggests splitting the party. Todd explains that splitting the party is never a good idea. Moonflower turns into a mist, then Todd describes the streets as barren and colorless so she casts Color Spray. They see dwarves burning books outside of Goblin Library For Goblins Who Can’t Read Good “Yet.” Kronch suggests “parlay” and charges in with hammers Par and Lay, and Moonflower notes that poor Kronch hasn’t spelled it correctly. The rest join the battle. They liberate the goblins who just want to live a peaceful life. Darius notes that they can’t judge a book by its cover, and the group all agrees they had fun playing D&D.
