Community Corner – A discussion of our responsibility in light of the current protests.

About Tim Lanning

Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.

In solidarity with the protests against police violence across the world there will not be a normal episode today. Instead, we got together to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement and to discuss what our community could do to help in our own small way. Our emotions ran a little raw, but as a podcast with only white folks we felt like using our reach and privilege was the absolute least we could do.

Here is the google doc we discussed with links on how to support the movement and educate yourself.

Obviously, we want to be corrected if we spread any false information as repeating false info helps no one. But (and I think this should go without saying), we will not tolerate any hate or criticism for the Black Lives Matter movement or for any of the victims murdered by the police.

  1. This is seriously amazing, thank you so much! I live in Minnesota and I have been to the spot where this started, and seen the community coming together in support for George Floyd and BLM, and it means so much to see the support coming from all over the country and the world. You guys were already my favorite D&D podcast, but now you are like 10 times more amazing to me! Thanks you!!!
