I’ve slept for 4 days straight and got my thoughts in order and now I’m ready to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in this year’s charity stream. Whether you donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, provided the entertainment on the stream, or just gave us moral support in the chat, we couldn’t have done it without all of you.

We surpassed our initial goal of $7,777 and the community just kept on giving. By the time the stream ended we had raised $9,111 (Yes, it was over 9000!) for the Alzheimer’s Association.

It was a fantastic stream with plenty of laughs, butter eating, and even the scandalous wearing of hats and wigs. Plenty of games were played and we had enough prizes to do giveaways every hour, which wouldn’t have been possible without the support of some great companies (Slugfest Games, Brotherwise Games, Black Table Games, Greater Than Games, Dog Might Games, Die Hard Dice, and Berserk Games) and Mike McGinnis.

A special thank you to GeeklyInc‘s own good baby, Tim Lanning, who pushed on through that sleepy wall and was on the stream for the whole 24 hours.

I’m pretty sure that I speak for everyone here at GeeklyInc and the Alzheimer’s Association when I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your support during the stream. We really couldn’t have done any of this if we didn’t have such an amazing community, so thank you.
