In hot countries, in pre-refrigeration times, ice was harvested from snow-capped mountains. The ice was put in well insulated jars for transportation to the hot valleys. This made it rare and expensive food.
I loved Tim’s oubliette shout from the hit film Romeo + Juliet. Very obscure, very dated, very good. Nick’s “They’re supposed to be dancin” quote about the dragons is one of my all-time faves. Tim talking about Shamu jumping the highest and cuming the best. What a grand old time. Some great nuggets in this ep.
