Basic Rules - D&D, starter set, 5th ed

Scream “joy” to the heavens for the next edition of Dungeons and Dragons has been released. The Basic Rules is a free PDF which you can download right here! It is a 110 page introduction that covers the core of the game.

The Basic Rules book runs you through creating a character with the included races – dwarf, elf, halfling, and human and classes – cleric, fighter, rogue, and wizard. With a sample adventure and over a 100 spells you can run a character from level 1-20.

We will be sure to dig our dirty, little claws into the rule book and offer up more insight once we find them. But for now, get out there and start reading and rules lawyering!

  1. That sounds a lot like…AD&D or 2nd Edition. I’ve been waiting to see this, not because I expect to play it but because I listen to so many D&D podcasts it makes me nostalgic and sad.

Will be interesting to see how it plays.
