About Tim Lanning

Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.

Hello! This episode is a little weird. Instead of getting back in to our hard RP selves we take a step back and discuss what the gang will look like in our new 5e bodies. There are changes. There is hair where there used to be no hair. But with a little awkwardness and accidentally giving Aludra godlike AC we figure out the basic idea of our team. This also means we are entering into a zone of not entirelly being as comfortable as we used to be rule wise. So buckle up!

The adventure continues with Titus Harper (Tim Lanning), Thom the Dragonborn (Mike Bachmann), Aludra (Jennifer Cheek), Jaela (Nika Howard) and your Dungeon Master (Michael DiMauro). Don’t forget to follow our editor Steph Kingston (@stephokingston)!

  1. Just finished listening from episode #1! I put all other podcasts on hold for a good two or three months while listening to it and it was amazing! Best podcast ever! …though I’m a little sad that I have to wait a week in between episodes now,bit I know it will be well worth the wait.
P.S. I’m happy you made the switch to 5e I think you’ll enjoy it!
    Keep it dicey!

  2. I’ve made it! Started for 1 now we here. Drunks & Dragons has catapulted to my absolute favorite podcast. You guys are amazing and I’m so excited for the trek into new 5e adventures!

  3. A little disappointed. I thought for sure Thom would be a Valor bard/Fighter with Maneuvers. Valor Bard is a lot like Warlord was.

  4. But I like the justification. If Aludra wants to tank, I suggest the Sentinel feat paired with the fighting style she took. For preventing damage to yourself, Shield Mastery.

For Jaela, paladins can deal a lot of damage. Smite spells + Smite ability, Great Weapon style, Great Weapon Style feat. I see you have Polearm Master, which is great.
