Maybe family reunions are not supposed to go this way. Maybe, just maybe, there shouldn’t be this strange ringing in your ears and your heart shouldn’t feel like it is in some sort of old, rickety elevator. I am sure we can trust Adira Harper, even though she is surrounded by actual devils. And yes, she is wearing what appears to be a some sort of costume with the adjective “sexy” at the beginning but these are small red flags. We have seen worse. Actually, I think some of us have seen this exact place before?
The adventure continues with Titus Harper (Tim Lanning), Thom the Dragonborn (Mike Bachmann), Aludra (Jennifer Cheek), Jaela (Nika Howard) and your Dungeon Master (Michael DiMauro). Don’t forget to follow our editor Steph Kingston (@stephokingston)!
Why’s his sister referring to him as ‘Harper?’ That’s her last name too. She’d know him as ‘Titus’ even if her last name had changed.
I was thinking this exact same thing, but didn’t want to jump down Michael’s throat. Maybe she has heard about how cool Harper is??
shit.
This has got to be one of the funniest episodes in a while. Michael and Tim playing off each other as “the two Harpers” was hilarious.
Also, congrats to Aludra and Thom :’D
I’m glad that Aludra and Thom were in the room where they woke up on slabs when they went through such important moments. The bringing into this world new life and the ending of their own.
Full circle. Seems appropriate.
Look forward to the new characters.
I wish I had listened before reading the comments… 🙁
Yeah : ( that is a dangerous game to play.
Oh man, that was really special and awesome! Nothing like many surprises and Harper going insane.
And there goes the rest of the original cast. R.I.P.
I’v just run through the entire Drunks and Dragons and Random Encounters archive from episode one through the website! Great stuff. I think that the area where Drunks and Dragons could improve the most at this point are the live shows in front of audiences. I realize that in the past the crew has not had a giant budget or much experience performing in front of crowds, and may have been also been sort of flustered at times by last-minute engagement proposals, etc. but should you guys feel up to it, you might be able to pick up a few ideas for longer and more complex productions (incidental music, audience polls from clapping, more talk about erections, etc.) from other well-established stage comedy D&D performance-formats like:

I obviously recall that Tim hates mention of all “competing brands” of entertainment, but you could consider this as sort of an oppositional market research like the way that cookie brands spy on each other and reverse-engineer Oreo flavors to steal supplier metrics… All the best to you guys in Portland!
Making my way through the series a couple of episodes at a time, and this was one of the funniest so far. I’m not a player, but if I were this seems like the kind of group I’d want to play with. Looking forward to getting caught up with everything in another year or so.
