About Michael DiMauro

Michael founded GeeklyInc with Tim Lanning way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Michael could have never imagined.

Gather around everyone, we have some bad news. On a very special episode of  Game of Thrones, things get…complicated. Remember all those characters that you loved? Well…some are dead, others are in jail and most are in some sort of horrible danger. On the bright side Tyrion met some nice new friends. Also, this was an awesome episode, one of the Cast’s most favorite episodes.

Besides all the hot Game of Thrones talk and Donkey based puns, we also
announced our contest winner – it may have been you! Just listen to
found out. Don’t you think you may need some help listening though? You
better get at least 5 people to download and subscribe to make sure.
Thanks!

    • Bwahaha, haven’t heard this in ages! It really takes me back….

Also, I could totally see Daenerys singing this to Drogo. She likes him the way he is when they’re alone together, like when he calls her the moon of his life. But then he starts “tryin’ to be cool” and countenancing rape-y behaviour. This makes him “look like a fool,” and Dany has no time for fools. He makes up for it, but man, relationships are complicated! Amiright, amiright? Of course, this would only work if they stuck with the part in the original music video with the mall montage, only this time it’s Khal Drogo trying on different outfits.

  1. Loved the “Omar coming” reference, Swiffer jokes, and lots of discussion of Hodor’s penis. As soon as I saw that scene, I was stoked for the podcast discussion. I knew there’d be at least 5 minutes dedicated to it. Thanks for coming through! I also think it looked kind of prosthetic. Keep us updated. And by “us” I mean “probably just me”.

One more thing, about Martin writing the most recent episode (which I think was also my fave) — he was a screenwriter before he was a novelist. Check out his wikipedia page — he wrote for the Twilight Zone and for Beauty and The Best (the tv series). So that’s probably one of the reasons he was so good at translating the books to script format.

  2. Awesome podcast, I started listening when you had Syrio on, and thought it was good. Episode 8 is the first time I’ve heard the whole ensemble and you guys and gal are hilarious. Love the donkey rides, the tangents… I’m glad your pro tongue removal via slit throats. LOL.

Sadly we only have 2 more this season but they are bound to be action packed so I’m looking forward to the next 2 casts.

I’ll be backing filling the podcasts as I wait for the next episode.

BTW I’m listening from Down Under in Australia!

  3. Also love the Dress Sock!!! Haha.

But which Dr Who episode was being referenced, with all the people leaving ???? Please do tell ?

  4. I’ve only read the first up to page 570 on book 1 and i’m surprised you guys don’t know the difference between wights and white walkers. White walkers are the bony pale creatures with camouflaging armor and crystal looking swords. They live in the haunted forest. Those are what appeared at the beginning. Once they kill a human, he then comes back to life as a wight to do their bidding. How could you guys have missed this?
