Managing Editor | TV/Movie Editor | @ethnicninja on TwitterWarners Bros. has revealed the title design for the next movie from the Harry Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Set in the Roaring 20s, the story takes place 70 years before Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It chronicles the adventures of Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne), a writer in New York’s wizarding community. The movie hits the theaters November, 2016.
Pottermore has details about the thought process behind the artwork: ‘The logo is a blend of beasts, it’s not just one takeaway. When we arrived on idea for the ’S’ it excited us. So we thought there must be a way to accent these other letters with claws or ribs — hints to other beasts, while this one is the logo’s centrepiece.’
