Another year, another season of Game of Thrones. The wait this year was extra long, but it only made that opening scene extra sweet. The sweet sweet taste of Arbor Gold. Arbor Gold, the best wine for revenge. Each season of Game of Thrones opens by setting the scene for the new season and checks in on the states of our heroes. This year is no exception, but we got a huge dump of information and all indications are things will get crazy, fast.
We talk about montages, revenge, fire boys, and so much more in this episode. Thanks for listening!

In this episode you guys asked why there were chains hanging from the bookshelves in the Citadel’s library. In the books they explain that the Maesters get chains from different types of metals when they’ve mastered some new area of knowledge. So I’m pretty sure that the hanging chains from the shelves have to be some kind of card catalog to show which field of knowledge the books belong to.
You need to watch more British film and TV. “That one googly-eyed Lannister” is Thomas Turgoose, star of This is England and all its mini-series follow-ups. Shame on you.
Man, after just listening to the episode about season 8 episode 5, the disparity between attitudes about the show is very sad :(. Damn you, D&D!
