We are super excited to announce our very first episode of a brand new GeeklyInc podcast – Pope Zone: The Young Pope Podcast! Now, Young Pope has not been released to the American audiences yet, so your hosts got together to try and piece together just what it is this new show featuring the Young Pope is about. Also to get our feed set up. But we will say that content and entertainment are the real reasons. We do love you.
The iTunes feed is still getting set up but you can listen right here on the if you want. All the kinks should be worked out by the time the show based on Young Pope, Lenny, airs.
Your Young Pope Hosts are Tim Lanning, Jennifer Cheek and Ben Gibb. We are thankful for your listenership.
The music in the episode comes is “Beat the Clock” by Max Cameron from the Young Pope trailer. Both the trailer and music are amazing, but for different reasons.

No…NO! Can I believe my eyes!? A YOUNG POPE PODCAST! This is all I could ever want! Haha, thank you all-mighty Geekly, thank you for such goodness.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
I’m sure it’ll come up (a lot) but an interesting segment might just be examining what Tim and Jennifer know about Catholicism or think it is about. I grew up pretty Catholic and listening to Tim and Jennifer’s religious background is pretty interesting because it is just so different. Plus, I know a lot of Americans are surprised by how liberal the Catholic Church can be on (some!) issues, like science, the death penalty, capitalism etc.
I couldn’t be more excited for this. Having seen the first episode, I can say (without spoilers) that the first 10 minutes is the dumbest (in the bestest way) chunk of content that HBO has ever produced, and I can’t wait to hear ya’ll gush over it as much as I did. Praise jeebus.
I’ll have to check it out asap!! Slabber for Life!!
You did it!!!!!!!!! I thought you were kidding!!! I just dejectedly googled “young pope podcast” wishing you would make one and Geekly was the first thing that came up in my search! Cant wait to “hang out” with you guys again! (Listening to you guys feels like hanging out with you.)
To Matt above, I think the first 10 minutes was an homage to the end of the Fellini film Roma… or just a super Italian stylistic thing… or both?
