What do you get when you have a pinch of bishie sparkles, a dash of sass, and a whole lot of Dungeons and Dragons? The monster known as Nika. Jaela on Drunks and Dragons and Editor for board and tabletop games.
The stage is set, Victorian Era London and you are part of an elite and presumably secret group that must keep the people safe from the half-human, half-monster abominations that are terrorizing the city. As a member of this group, you fight beasts and as is the case with most games during this time period; you are also fighting against social injustices.
From the trailer and game play videos that have been released, this seems like a cross between Dishonoured (which was released in 2012) and the new Showtime show, Penny Dreadful. The Order 1886 is set to be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and should hit shelves in February 2015.
