Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.
Race the Sun is a stylish endless runner set on a dying planet. You pilot a ship that runs on solar power that is racing the setting sun. If you crash into an obstacle, you die. If you run out of sunlight, you die. Fortunately, your ship can be upgraded as you level up by completing challenges. The challenges give Race the Sun an extra level progress. Even if you have a terrible run score wise, hey, maybe you only turned left the entire time and completed a challenge and unlocked a magnet for your ship.
The art style also drew me into the world of Race the Sun. Everything is stark colors that at first appear bland and a little boring. But as the sun sets, everything takes on an eerie tone that suggests a dying land. Plus, there is this bright bird that drops colorful powerups. I love that mysterious bird.
