Michael founded GeeklyInc with Tim Lanning way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Michael could have never imagined.There is a new game from the mind of Sid Meier based on Civilization: Beyond Earth. You will command a fleet of starships in what they are calling an “adventure-driven” strategy game. Starships will be available for iOS and there are reports that it will also be available for Mac and PC, though it isn’t listed on 2K’s website.
The launch trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, so it is hard to say how deep of a game this will be, especially since it is available on iOS, but Meier rarely disappoints. Starships is a stand-alone game, but will also feature cross-connectivity with Beyond Earth.
Sid Meier’s Starships is scheduled to be released in 2015.
