In an already action packed book, we have reached the number one chapter in our Storm of Swords book club. Most of our characters are in strange and dangerous places. Who knows what will happen to Jon or Tyrion? Will they finally get the big break they have been waiting for? If I know anything about G.R.R. Martin, I would say “yes!”

  1. Love your show, especially the rotting milk and crazy theories talk. What I find especially appealing about the show is the chemistry between the cast members. (Where the hell is Mike Dao!? I miss the making fun of the non-book reader.) I would love another theories podcast (Grand Northern Conspiracy? Hound = Gravedigger?) Or a podcast, where you talk about the prophecies and your own opinions/thoughts/hopes/predictions about them (For example Dany child of three, Quaithe, Azor Azai and Lightbringer (Azor Azai = Jon Snow, Lightbringer = Night’s Watch!?) etc.).

Off topic: Dany isn’t immune to fire!!! A myth, created by the show.
“Tiny flames went darting up the wood like swift red mice, skating over the oil and leaping from bark to branch to leaf. A rising heat puffed at her face, soft and sudden as a lover’s breath, but in seconds it had grown too hot to bear. Dany stepped backward.”
Only after MMD begins singing ululating voice – the same words describing her singing in Drogos tent – she can bear the fire, also the dragons hatch before she steps into the fire. If we look at Dany’s fire immunity on the pyre, not as Dany’s crowning moment of glory, but as the result of a botched fire-immunity spell of Mirri’s, then I think several things pop into place.
Especially, Jar Jar states: “It gives me a chance to clear up a common misconception. TARGARYENS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO FIRE! The birth of Dany’s dragons was unique, magical, wonderous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn’t immune to that molten gold.”
“So she won’t be able to do it again?”
    George_RR_Martin: “probably not.”
