Although it has been considered “Hollywood’s Worst Kept Secret” the news was finally officially released last night that the Drunks and Dragons Podcast has started a Patreon campaign. This campaign’s main goals are to help the podcast grow and reach new and amazing heights.
The hosts of the DnD Podcast had this to say:
“There are very real costs associated with keeping our podcast going. We need to pay for everything from server space to new equipment to a seemingly endless supply of Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Ritas for Mike Bachmann.
We also love finding fun ways to give back to our listeners, so if you scroll down you will find all kinds of wonderful rewards and elaborate tiers of fun swag. We have rewards for any budget, and every little bit helps. There are plenty of cool things like shot glasses and opportunities to join us for some D&D, but everyone that becomes a patron will get access to Patreon-only episodes and our Patreon Activity Feed which should get weird in the way that only the cast of the Drunks and Dragons podcast can get weird.”

I’ve listened to dozens of podcasts over the years and a few of them, including this one, have been my amongst my favorites. I don’t contribute in forums, reviews, or anything of the like; I tend to be a silent listener who just enjoys content. I can honestly say that of all the podcasts I’ve listened, this is definitely in my top 3. Thank you for the content, the amazing story, and the memorable characters. I will definitely subscribe to this little donation drive and will continue doing so as long as you keep dishing out amazing content. Thanks guys!
Oh man, that means a whole lot, Sean! Thanks for the amazingly kinds words.
I have a comment about the conversation towards the end of the podcast. Playing with no grids is great for the mind but in our gaming group we found the best idea to use a dry erase board as a table. A very large dry erase board and with that stats can be put down right there on the table and taken off very quickly and easily.
Also it helps when you are playing with no grid and no mini’s to have something to look at even if it is just a dot. I have gone so far as to get my own table set up with a dry erase board so when the game comes to my house it will be waiting.
I love the pod cast and honestly you guess sound just like the group that I play with. Even down to the choice of Alcohol that is being consumed.
Oh man I meant to have this comment on the last podcast not for the Patreon podcast
my bad.
This is one of my favorite podcasts, always has me laughing but I have one important question? Can we get a ghost Tum and ghost Steve buddy cop special episode? I think that might be the greatest thing in the world. Love the show, keep up the good work and I want those shot glasses! Epic!
I LITERALLY missed the Kickstarter campaign by minutes, so I’m super thankful for a way to say “SHUT UP* AND TAKE MY MONEY”. I ALMOST didn’t go for the glasses, until I saw it was $5 for int’l shipping, not $15. SOLD.
*Nika does not need to shut up, ever**.
**EVER.
I recommend adding more Milestone Goals. Also (though AoD Industries has already become a backer) perhaps you could add another permanent character death for sale at exactly $83.33 a month (adding up to $1000 over 12 months) and/or thresh-holds for a character’s permanent disfigurement (with stat decrease or lost item slot), secret lovechild for a character appearing within the narrative suddenly as imagined by patron, the circumstantial introduction of a chosen paranoia for a character as decided by a patron, etc.
Best of luck with the fundraising.
Love the podcast! I have never played D&D (sorry!), but I thoroughly enjoy the plot and the characters. Plus I feel like I’ve learned a few things; edu-tainment in its highest form!
I havn’t played DnD since Yoonie circa 2003, but with you guys I feel my Shadowdancer lives again in Drunkeros…God I miss her.
So very pleased to be a Patreon.
