You would have thought that by now I would be used to the fact that we have one of the best communities on the internet, and yet I’m still amazed at the GeeklyInc community’s generosity and willingness to help those in need.
The 24 hour charity stream was a huge success. Everybody rallied together and we raised over $4,500 for the Sundar and Neena Foundation (and the total keeps rising). We sure showed those earthquakes what’s what, and every one of you literally just saved lives.
We gave away over $1000 worth of board games and books (kindly donated by some great game companies and members of the community), and that’s just the prizes we had for the donors. The viewers of the stream also had the chance to get some loot in the form of tabletop related games on Steam, and commissioned art pieces.
I’m pretty sure that I speak for everyone here at GeeklyInc and the Sundar and Neena Foundation when I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your support during the stream. Whether you were a donor, a player, or even just gave us moral support in chat. We really couldn’t have done any of this if we didn’t have such an amazing community, so thank you.
