Max Payne 3 Video: Targeting and Weapons

We were all a little sad when Max Payne 3 was pushed back to May 15, 2012. Then we watched this video, about Max’s “targeting, weapons, and tactical movement”, and we became downright depressed. Look at how slow that Bullet Time™ is! It’s so slow! It is strange to think of Rockstar making a game with amazing shooting, but it isn’t strange to imagine Rockstar owning the month of May once again.

As what will almost certainly be one of the last first party games created for the Nintendo DS, Kirby Mass Attack is a fitting tribute. It is effortlessly charming, deceptively simple, and absolutely adorable without going into the realm of cavity-causing sweetness. It allows you to choose your own level of engagement, whether that is to romp though without a care in the world, or to take on the challenge of getting every collectable and gold medal. Which ever way you go, you are sure to have a great time with Kirby Mass Attack.

Thrifty Nerd Deals of the Day for 1/15/2012

There are only a few games where buying the Collector’s Edition makes any sense, but Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is absolutely one of them. The game itself is worth $100 being that you could spend 200 hours playing it, and still have content left to burn. On top of that you get a frickin’ 12 inch dragon statue, an art book and a making of DVD. This is available for both Xbox 360 and PS3 (though you may want to hold off on the PS3 version since it has a nasty bug that still needs patching).
