A hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this year’s charity stream. Whether you donated to The Trevor Project, provided the entertainment, or just gave us moral support in the chat, we couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Thank you to all of the GeeklyInc podcast hosts from ‘Drunks & Dragons‘, ‘Cast of Thrones/Dear Internet‘, ‘Cthulhu & Friends‘, ‘Brute Force‘, ‘Transformation Sequence‘, ‘Inks & Issues‘, and ‘Random Encounters‘, and an extra special thank you to our guests from ‘NeoScum‘, ‘Drop The Die‘, ‘Greater than Games‘, and the ‘S House Studio‘ podcast network, who all donated their time and their talents to fill the stream with entertainment.

Thanks also go to all of the companies and people who donated items for our donor and chat giveaways; ‘Slugfest Games‘, ‘Brotherwise Games‘, ‘Greater than Games‘, ‘Black Table Games‘, ‘Alderac Entertainment‘, ‘Monte Cook‘, ‘Material Components‘, ‘Die Hard Dice‘, ‘Dungeons Box‘, the ‘Hoof & Sword‘ podcast, Jennifer Cheek, Monica Ruiz, and Brad Brockway. We had enough prizes for a chat giveaway every hour and lots of post-stream giveaway prizes for the people who donated to Trevor.

It was a fantastic stream with plenty of laughs and good times. We had crazy barbarian wrestlers, strange frog people chanting for lunch meat, a possessed cosmic Guy Fieri, and the answer to the age-old question of ‘how many people from Geekly podcasts does it take to change a light bulb?’. We mutinied on the Flying Dutchman, saved the Red Dragon Inn from werewolves, built cheerleader towers for Master, had epic superhero and villain showdowns, and defeated a dragon with ferret wine and a traitorous mouse.

I will be the first to admit that I didn’t think we were going to reach our goal of $10,000, with 3 hours to go we were sitting at $7,000, but in those final 3 hours we received some amazing donations and reached our goal with 2 minutes left of the stream. I should have learned by now never to underestimate the community’s kindness and willingness to donate to worthy causes. We ended the stream at an incredible $10,151 and the donations are still rolling in.*

I’m pretty sure that I speak for everyone here at GeeklyInc and The Trevor Project when I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your support during the stream. We really couldn’t have done any of this if we didn’t have such an amazing community, you’re all awesome, thank you so much. I’ve never been prouder of this community than I am right now.

*At the time of writing this we’re sitting at $10,201. If you missed the stream but would still like to donate, the donation page will stay open for the rest of the year so you can still support the cause if you would like to.
