Recruit the Drunks & Dragons and Cast of Thrones Podcasters in XCOM 2

About Tim Lanning

Tim founded GeeklyInc with Michael DiMauro way back in 2013 when they realized they had two podcasts and needed a place to stick them. Since then, Geekly has grown and taken off in ways Tim could have never imagined.

XCOM 2 has a great feature called the “Character Pool” that allows you to import custom characters into your game. Throughout the game your Character Pool characters will just pop up during missions or rewards or even as villains. Honestly, I don’t really know how it works because I haven’t played the “game” part of the game. Instead, I made my beautiful co-podcast friends for you. You are welcome. PC Gamer did a great guide on how to import and export your characters.

If you want to import myself, Jennifer, Michael, Nika, Bachmann or Nick then you can download this dropbox file. Please do not let them die. They are very special. All of them are rookies except for Nick because my very specific RP for him is that he is a technowizard. Everyone else can be anything you want! I guess you could technically edit all of them too. But don’t make us ugly or bad.

As a bonus, Game Informer made these awesome video game characters for your pool.

Update!  ibplunderin created his own version our Drunks and Dragons heroes along with the hosts. Check it out if you would like! Always use safe internet downloading please. I gave these a scan, but you know, better to be safe than sorry.

  1. I promise I didn’t upload computer VD files. So far I have had a mission to save VIP Dr. Steve “Okay Bye!” Meloncamp with my crew of Harper, Ros, Throfty-kun, and Aludra. It was stressful trying to save that adorable little gnoll, so much so that Michael is now Shaken from it.

I have taken Fennekin on 2 missions and he hasnt died yet, it is as if my hoping he would die means he never gets overwatch hit and keeps hitting when most wouldn’t. Xcom ples.

After downloading the Geekly podcast crew I recruited a Dr. Tim Lanning… so i’m not sure how my science is going to fare.

    • Oh, I trust you, just gotta throw in a little bit of language to for “CYA” reasons.

Also, I loaded your squad up and made some slight changes but on the whole everyone is amazing. Fennekin has a bright red beard but it looks a little weird. No good red options. And, embarrassing enough, I didn’t change any eye colors on my people and I am sad.

      • Yeah, the cool thing is that you can just change them however you want even when you take them from a character pool, I changed a few of the PC gamer chars. I also put some background stuff for each character, looking through the wiki it is pretty old, and Michael’s entry seems especially suspect. *suspicious*
