The problem with doing the Affair of the Voices as a series, in my opinion, is that, if you think about it, it’s a huge bummer of an ending. Gendal dies, Therin is a broken mess, and even one ‘bright spot’ of Gadrith dying; we who have read this series already know isn’t really true.
It’s kind of the Star War prequel trilogy issue: we KNOW it ends in a downer, so that’ll be hanging over you the entire time.
